Things to do in the Hawkesbury #54 Jacaranda Trees in Windsor
Late October, early November, is one of my favourite times to take a walk along the streets of Windsor. Not only are the Jacaranda trees in full blossom the streets are laden with a carpet of purple.
Take the time over the next few days to wander the streets of Windsor as it is a once year opportunity not to be missed.
Let me know your best vantage point for viewing and where your favourite trees grow.

Great day to take a bushwalk by the Colo River. There are some terrific places to explore, rock caves to discover, flora and fauna to have fun identifying.
Why not take some time out this weekend to enjoy what we have in our own backyard, discover what this part of the Hawkesbury has to offer.
If you take your camera send me your favourite photo.
Have fun exploring.

Things to do in the Hawkesbury #52. You don’t have to be religious to appreciate visiting the oldest church and school building in Australia. The Ebenezer Uniting Church of Australia was established in 1809.
You are most welcome to take a self guided tour as the Church is open each day for visitors. Once you are there further information is available on a pamphlet offered on the porch.
They recommend your tour include a visit to the Schoolmaster’s House which contains photographs and memorabilia on the church’s interesting history.
Beautiful weather lately and lovely to take a drive in the country.
Enjoy the time you spend there.

Things to do in the Hawkesbury #51. Why not catch up for a chat with your local M.P.

My husband, Jim, and I were married in 1988 in Kurrajong, and we bought our first home in Bligh Park. We are the proud parents of our two children, Joshua and Hannah. source: www.louisemarkus.com.au
I have known Mrs Louise Markus M.P. for many years now and have always found her to be hard at work for her local community. She is extremely approachable and always there to discuss local issues and lend a hand.
For further information or to contact Louise visit her website on www.louisemarkus.com.au
Thanks for popping into my office by Louise, I look forward to catching up next time.

Things to do in the Hawkesbury #50. The weather has been fantastic and with the Olympics inspiring people to get you involved with sporting activities why not go for a paddle along the Hawkesbury River.
I love going for a paddle in my kayak. And even if we don’t get to compete at Olympic Level simply looking at the shoreline from a different perspective there is so much to see like the local wildlife, sights and homes and most of all it is fun :). It is not only a great workout, but when we take time out of our busy schedules we are rewarded with renewed energy for life and it helps us appreciate the simple things in life.
Let me know of your favourite places to paddle along the River.
Happy paddling,
Rachael

Weekends are always good for a treat. Why not take a drive up Bells Line of Road until you meet Pie in the Sky. They have the best apple pie and coffee for miles.
A lovely drive this time of year especially for the treat that you will be rewarded with upon your arrival.
Let me know what type of pie you in which you indulge.
Enjoy.
